What are Jingle Cats?

As the Christmas season gets into full swing, folks are pulling out the boxes of decorations, setting up trees, donning the ugly sweaters, and putting on the Christmas music. After all, what is Christmas without Christmas music? The answer is, not much of a Christmas at all! Christmas music not only has a magical effect on inviting the Christmas spirit into a home, but it also provides an audio ambiance different from the usual hum we’re accustomed to hearing the other eleven months of the year.

A predictable playlist

For most people, the Christmas playlist is the same year-after-year. A predictable playlist of favorites, performed by the equally-predictable artists like Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and Manheim Steamroller.

This year, though, might I suggest a new and wonderful addition to the Christmas music scene: Jingle Cats.

Jingle Cats: Meowy Christmas

Jingle Cats: Meowy Christmas is arguably the most creative and smile-inducing music album I’ve heard in recent memory. I stumbled across this treasure-album a few days ago and couldn’t get enough of it! Essentially, music producers pieced together a bunch of cat meows representing every pitch on the keyboard and, using the power of audio editing technology, creating songs that sound like cats are meowing the melody! Not only that, but many of these songs have meow harmonies!

From Silent Night to Jingle Bells to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Ferries, the song list is quite extensive for these musical felines.

So, if you’re feeling a little blue and are looking for a way to add some smiles to your Christmas music mix, then you really should check out Jingle Cats: Meowy Christmas. This is especially true if you’re a cat lover, which I’m sure you are because you are visiting this blog!

Merry Christmas and Happy Meowing!
